Guided Kayaking Trips of upto six people in single kayaks (also during the weekend)
Cyprus Walks Etc offers guided private kayaking exploration along beautiful coastlines of Cyprus. We offer trips for upto six kayakers on single kayaks also during the weekend. We offer two 3-hour routes and two 4-hour routes in the area of Cape Greco, Ayia Napa and the Red Cliffs of Xylofagou. We can also guide groups along other coastlines, including Pentakomo coast, Aphrodite's Rock and the north coast of Akamas. No previous experience is required for our trips. They require a moderate degree of fitness. We recommend that (unsure) explorers start with our three-hour kayaking trips. We can agree together with the group the exact logistics of the trip.
Our prices per person for 3-hour trips start from 70 Euro per person (if six kayakers).
Our prices for 4-hour trips start from 85 Euro per person (if six kayakers).
Some of the routes (3-hour trip to Cape Greco Sea Caves and 4-hour trip along the east coast of Cape Greco) are available throughout the year.
The 4-hour trip to Ayia Napa Sea Caves is available from May until October (when access close to the Sea Caves is allowed).
The 3-hour trip to the Red Cliffs (of Xylofagou) can be offered when there are no military exercises in the area.
The trips can take place provided the sea conditions are calm enough.
All kayakers should have weight under 100 kg (there may be exceptions, but we would need to discuss this). All kayakers must know how to swim and should not have any serious health problem that is not compatible with kayaking and the sea. Because the trips are private, we can finesse the route to match the group's profile and preferences (and the sea conditions and time availability).
As a rule Phivos Ioannides leads the trips in English or Greek.
Phivos is Cypriot with a passion for exploration.
Before working in authentic ecotourism he studied computing (UK) and later business (in the US), and worked for many years in retail banking, finance and consulting.
He has written popular travel guide books on Cyprus and led many hundreds of walking trips, hundreds of kayaking trips and snorkeling trips around the island. He is the creator and manager of CyprusWalksEtc.
Phivos is a scuba diver, he has done lifeguarding courses and a sailing course. He also has a license to drive motorboats.
Besides his native Greek, Phivos speaks English fluently as well as good Spanish and German. He also speaks some French and Chinese (Mandarin).
