Cyprus Guided Kayaking multi-Day Trips
Programs for summer, winter, spring and autumn
Cyprus Walks Etc offers (customised) multi-day guided kayaking programs in different regions of Cyprus (eg a program centered around Akamas and one centered around Limassol). We also offer a standard 2-day kayaking trip in the area of Ayia Napa and Cape Greko, which could easily be combined with accommodation in Ayia Napa, Protaras, Larnaca or even Nicosia (because this is where the guide lives). Because there are so many different accommodation possibilities, overnights are not part of our standard program, however we can easily add them if travellers prefer. One big difference between the kayaking trips west of Larnaca and those east of Larnaca is that as a rule, for the trips east of Larnaca we can have upto six kayakers in single recreational sitontop kayaks. For trips west of Larnaca we use sea touring (sitinside) kayaks and we can only take upto two kayakers per trip (however even in trips to the west of Larnaca, we could arrange to split the itineraries so that more people do shorter routes).
Besides purely kayaking programs, we have the possibility to compose multi-activity programs (kayaking +/or snorkelling +/or walking/hiking for those who want a more complete experience of our Cyprus.
As a rule Phivos Ioannides leads the trips in English or Greek.
Phivos is Cypriot with a passion for exploration.
Before working in authentic ecotourism he studied computing (UK) and later business (in the US), and worked for many years in retail banking, finance and consulting.
He has written popular travel guide books on Cyprus and led many hundreds of walking trips, hundreds of kayaking trips and snorkeling trips around the island. He is the creator and manager of CyprusWalksEtc.
Phivos is a scuba diver, he has done lifeguarding courses and a sailing course. He also has a license to drive motorboats.
Besides his native Greek, Phivos speaks English fluently as well as good Spanish and German. He also speaks some French and Chinese (Mandarin).
