Guided Walking/hiking Trips of upto twelve people (also during the weekend)
Cyprus Walks Etc offers guided walking, kayaking, snorkelling and multi-activity exploration throughout the beautiful island of Cyprus. We offer private walking trips on either official walking trails or inhouse composed routes around many locations on the island (eg Akamas, Troodos, Paphos Forest, Xeros Potamos Valley, Cape Greco, Karpasia). We have a collection of suggested standard itineraries (which can nevertheless be fine tuned - subject to an agreement between Cyprus Walks Etc and the explorers).
Our prices per group of upto twelve explorers for 7 km trips are usually 300 Euro
Our prices per group of upto twelve explorers for 20 km trips are usually 400 Euro
Some of the routes (Platy Valley) are recommended throughout the year, but most are not recommended for summer because of the high temperatures (and just a couple (notably Artemis trail) could be covered in snow for some time in winter.
As a rule are walks do not require a high degree of fitness (eg Artemis trail, Cape Greco route, the White Cliffs of Pissouri).
At the same time we have routes that are more demanding (eg 20 km walks in Paphos Forest or Xeros Potamos Valley, or the 12 km Madari Circular trail). We would be happy to discuss the best option for your group, depending on the profile and preferences of its members.
As a rule Phivos Ioannides leads the trips in English or Greek.
Phivos is Cypriot with a passion for exploration.
Before working in authentic ecotourism he studied computing (UK) and later business (in the US), and worked for many years in retail banking, finance and consulting.
He has written popular travel guide books on Cyprus and led many hundreds of walking trips, hundreds of kayaking trips and snorkeling trips around the island. He is the creator and manager of CyprusWalksEtc.
Phivos has first aid certification for many years. He is also a scuba diver, he has done lifeguarding courses and a sailing course. He also has a license to drive motorboats.
Besides his native Greek, Phivos speaks English fluently as well as good Spanish and German. He also speaks some French and Chinese (Mandarin).
