Explore one of the most scenic rocky coasts in Cyprus! Ages 18+ Duration 4 hours (including possible free ride from and to Larnaca) About The Trip: It is a coastal sea exploration trip through kayaking. As a rule we use sitontop kayaks. They can be used by individuals with no kayaking experience for a fun exploration of some of the most scenic coastlines in Cyprus. The water is usually clear. The coastline is limestone and rugged (with a couple of sandy spots). Weight limit of 100 kg. Meeting time: At 09:15 (unless arranged otherwise). Meeting location: If travellers prefer we can offer a free ride in our company's car (which holds private insurance) from and to Larnaca (no ports or airports - guiding time starts at the pickup time). Otherwise on the east of Ormidia coast, 500 south of Panagia church, near Xylofagou village. Itinerary: We kayak east along Xylofagou coast and the Red Cliffs. The default distance is just over 5 km. That can be finessed depending on the kayakers' preference and profile and the sea condition. We then return back in the opposite direction. This is one of the undeveloped coastlines of Cyprus. The Red Cliffs is the highlight of the trip. More info The basic kayaking route: From the coast east and back (usually around 5 km / 3 mi) Transportation: None is included (we can offer a free ride from Larnaca - in this case travellers would need to wait a bit on Luma beach in Ormidia to get and) What's included? The use of a sitontop kayak, paddle, pfd, drybag Guiding the kayaking trip Exclusions Food & drinks Please note We only know if the trip is allowed, max two weeks, sometimes a week in advance. Not recommended for participants with relevant medical conditions. Each kayak has a listed maximum capacity of 125 kg. The ride will probably not be comfortable for payloads of more than 100 kg. The ride would be comfortable for people upto 1.95 meters. Travelers can present either a paper or an electronic voucher for this activity. In case of forecasted choppy sea the trip is cancelled (with full refund). Other options may be offered (eg reschedule, an alternative kayaking trip on the east coast if the sea is good there). Usually the trip is guided by Phivos in the English language. What to bring Water is a must. Also sea shoes or similar. Sun protection, bathing suite, towels (mask and snorkel, could be possibly used).
