Explore one of the unforgettable natural attractions in Cyprus. Ages 18+ Duration 5.5 hours (including ride time) About The Trip: It is a guided walking trip around Xylofagou coast. The easy walk near the cliffs and uphill to the Xylofagou medieval tower and back is about 8 km long. Meeting time: At 09:15 (unless arranged otherwise). Meeting location: At Panagia church near the coast of Xylofagou. Otherwise at a hotel or an address other than a port or airport in Larnaca. The guide can offer a free ride in our company's car (which holds private insurance). Itinerary: The 8 km walk starts and ends at the chapel. It takes place close to the coast, that includes the beautiful Red Cliffs, and it is very easy. It offers excellent views of the coast at various points. The basic walk: 8 km long, easy, rather flat (total ascent and total descent of only 200 meters each)- passes by the Red Cliffs and the Xylofagou medieval watchtower. Transportation: None is included (we offer a free ride from Larnaca) What's included? Guiding the trip in general and specifically guiding the walks. Exclusions Food & drinks Please note Confirmation will be received at time of booking We can only offer the walk when there are no military exercises in the area. We know only two weeks or less before the expedition date. A maximum of four (4) people per booking. Not recommended for participants with serious medical conditions, for people with walking difficulty or uneasiness with walking close to steep slopes. Travelers can present either a paper or an electronic voucher for this activity. As a rule, unless other arrangements are agreed beforehand, the trip is guided by Phivos, in English. What to bring It is always good to bring along water to trips (though we will have possibilities to buy if required at one of the communities that we pass by/through). Good shoes for walking, or sports sandals are required as well as sun protection, especially during warm seasons. Of course swimming suit, towel (especially if we provide a free ride), possibly slippers, snorkelling equipment if we decide to snorkel.
