Service Description
It is primarily a combination of a walk on Artemis traill (on the top of Troodos) and exploration on foot of the stone-built old quarter of Kakopetria village and of Unesco World Heritage Agios Nicolaos tis Stegis painted church. As always our trips are customisable. Meeting/Pickup time: (Sep-May) 9:15 at Troodos Square, 9:00 from Nicosia, 9:15 from Limassol, Kakopetria, Kalopanayiotis, Pano Platres, etc, (Jun-Aug) 08:30 everywhere More info Walk on Artemis trail (8 km / 5 miles, flat and easy), the highest elevation trail in Cyprus, covered with unique flora. It is barren on many stretches and characterised by black pines and endemic Troodos junipers. Usually it offers excellent vistas to many parts of the island and to coasts from Limassol to Morphou bay. Meander inside the picturesque old part of Kakopetria village - visit old olive press, an old church and watermill. Take a short walk along a shaded stream opposite the old part of Kakopetria village. Cyprus coffee on a coffee shop veranda overlooking the stream is highly recommended (as is a fresh trout meal at a nearby restaurant). Visit an 11th century UNESCO World Heritage site at Agios Nicolaos tis Stegis painted church, a former monastery where only the chapel survives (closed on Mondays). The frescoes are superb, dating from the 11th century onward. Enjoy a customisable route on the top of Cyprus, combining some of the best nature and cultural heritage the island has to offer. Transportation: None is included in the price. At the same time the guide can give a free ride from Nicosia, Larnaca or Limassol. The car has a usual private insurance. Guiding time starts when the travellers meet the guide. What's included? Guiding the trip in general and specifically guiding the walks. Exclusions Food & drinks Please note Confirmation will be received at time of booking A maximum of four (4) people per booking. Not recommended for participants with serious medical conditions, for people with walking difficulty or uneasiness with walking close to steep slopes. Travelers can present either a paper or an electronic voucher for this activity. As a rule, unless other arrangements are agreed beforehand, the trip is guided by Phivos, in English. What to bring Water is a must. Good shoes (with grip) for walking are necessary as well as sun protection, especially during warm seasons.




















Cancellation Policy
The same policy applies to all day guided trip: Guided kayaking, walking, snorkeling day trips. Explorers can cancel upto 24 hours without a cancellation fee. Otherwise, if they cancel less than 24 hours from the trip or if they do not not show up, they will incur the full cost of the trip.
