Explore one of the most scenic rocky coasts in Cyprus! Ages 18+ Duration 4 hours if one or two kayakers, 3 hour trips per kayaker if 3-4 kayakers in total (split into two 3-hour trips) About The Trip: It is a coastal sea exploration trip through kayaking. We use sea touring kayaks. They can be used by individuals with no kayaking experience for a fun exploration of some of the most scenic coastlines in Cyprus. The water is usually clear. A mix of pebble, sand and rocky sea bed and west of Aphrodite's Baths a cliffy coast for a few kilometers. Height limit of 1.90 cm and weight limit of 110 kg. Meeting time: At 09:00 or 13:00 Meeting location: At Takas beach, 1.5 km east of Baths of Aphrodite. Itinerary: We start from Takkas Beach as it is a convenient place to put the kayaks in the sea. We kayak west past the beach for dogs, Baths of Aphrodite and into the Akamas peninsula. The rugged coast is characterised by multicoloured (green, grey, brown) cliffs. The distance depends on the duration of the trip (3 or 4 hours), the kayakers' preference and profile and the sea condition. Usually for the 4 hour we kayak upto Photiades beach, at a total distance of about 9 km. We then return back in the opposite direction. The use of a sea touring kayak, paddle, pfd, drybag (if customers require one) Guiding the kayaking trip Exclusions Food & drinks Please note Confirmation will be received at time of booking Not recommended for participants with relevant medical conditions. Each kayak has a listed maximum capacity of 136 kg. The ride will probably not be comfortable for payloads of more than 110 kg. The ride would be comfortable for people upto 1.85 m of height (and probably OK for heights upto 1.90 m). Travelers can present either a paper or an electronic voucher for this activity. In case of forecasted choppy sea the trip is cancelled (with full refund). Other options may be offered (eg reschedule, an alternative kayaking trip on the east coast if the sea is good there). Usually the trip is guided by Phivos in the English language. What to bring Water is a must. Also sea shoes or similar. Sun protection, bathing suite, towels (mask and snorkel, could be possibly used).
